On October 22, Yessenov University’s Faculty of Pedagogy, in cooperation with the Department of Religious Affairs of Mangystau Region, organized an awareness session titled “Terrorism, Religious Extremism, and Destructive Religious Movements: Signs, Consequences, and Responsibility.”
The session addressed preventing religious radicalism, recognizing indicators of destructive movements, understanding potential societal risks, and developing resilience against manipulative ideology.
Special emphasis was placed on evaluating religious content found on social media platforms, verifying information credibility, and practicing digital safety protocols.
Speakers clarified principles of secularism, the importance of religious literacy in modern society, and legal liabilities. The open-dialogue format allowed students to raise questions and engage in constructive discussions.
