A new three-story, 4,600 sq. m academic building of the Yessenov University Maritime Academy has opened in Aktau, designed to accommodate 900 students. The building was constructed using the university’s own funds.
Future captains, navigators, engineers and logistics specialists are trained on modern Norwegian-made marine simulators — K-SIM Navigation and K-SIM Engine. The Maritime Academy is a structural division of Yessenov University established in 2018; more than 30 shipping companies and over 2,000 seafarers operate in the Mangystau region.
